Papercut mushrooms

Im trying to make really small paper mushroom houses now.
I spent a long time cutting them out... but after a few hours they are still very tiny... a bit depressing!! : /

House of Fungi

some fungi are very pretty. well ... maybe not " pretty" but they have beautiful colors and textures!

同じものを描こうとしてもやっぱりちょっとした所が違って来ますね、、
前より丁寧に書き込んでみました。

顔は上の方が女らしく下の方が男らしいですが最初にあった元絵はもっと動物っぽかった気がします。

So the exhibition at the Brent Museum has just started!
I went to the private view tonight. it was exciting to meet all the people there including the other artists!
I couldnt see much of the other parts of the building but apparently they have a library, theater, and more exhibition spaces so I might go back sometimes before Feb, when the exhibition im in in going to end.

its such a great experience! :)




ロンドンにあるBrent Museum の展示が一昨日から始まりました！
今日はそのオープニングにちょっとの間だけ参加しました。

夜だったので外観もあまり見えなかったし同じ館内の図書館や他の展示スペース（資料スペースなど）が見れなかったのでまた行こうかと思います。
私の出している展示は２月までやっています。

展示は勿論の事、オープニングに行って色々な人と会いお話出来た事、全部いい経験です

まだ準備段階ですが結構溜まってきたのでスタジオで作業になりました
実はまだこれの倍くらいあります！

im doing some more paper sculptures. these are still in process but i think i made quite a few. i have about twice as many as this : )

Some of my works(obviously not this!) are going be shown at MGM hotel restaurant in Las Vegas from 8th to 11th.
I won't be able to go (of course...) but am excited about it !
can;t wait!

１２月８日から１１日までラスベガスのホテルで絵を何枚か展示しま〜す。
その後は
１２月１０日から２月までロンドンで展示します（こっちは遊びに行けます）

他にも更新出来る様に頑張ります！

these are toy Munny's little toys. i guess the munny was supposed to become a Ninja or some kind of construction worker, not like a crazy japanese maid-style. hah...


忘れてしまってました。
この２個はD.I.YおもちゃMunnyの付属品です。これらも白いプラスチックだったので削ったり色々な事をしてから絵の具で色を付けました。Munnyが結構カラフルだったので付属品も派手な色です

元がプラスチックだったのでヤスリかけたり下地のペンキ塗ったりもっと削ったり透明なペンキ塗ったり、、、色々試したので１０日くらいかかりました。やっとやっと終りました〜

上の絵は両方家ですが動いている不安定なもの、それからしっかりとした土台のあるもの、と少しだけ違います。

アップロードが朝になってしまいましたがやっと雨も上がったのでなんか外はすっきりしています＾＾

根の生えた街の絵です。サーカス団のように移動できるよう宙に浮いています。

まだ白黒ですがこれから少し色をつけて行きますっ！

８月１５日−９月１４日　　日米TIMES紙"Manga & Anime: An Exhibition of Popular Cartoon Art" 展が始まりました。
去年と今年のコンテスト入賞者（私は去年と今年両方入れて頂きました＾＾）とゲストアーティストを招いてナパバレーの美術館でやっています。
最終日には展示されている絵のポスターのオークションもあるみたいでなにやらイベントとしても面白そうな展示会です！


"Manga & Anime: An Exhibition of Popular Cartoon Art" is starting tomorrow through 9/14 at the Napa Valley Museum.
the contest winner from last year and this year, and guest cartoon artists are showing art works together!
I sent 4 images (might have been 5 because I won last year and also this year) for the show : )
there will be an auction in the end, too!
i cannt join the opening or the auction but it sounds exciting!
