Criteria of Beauty

I have been working on some new stuff. challenging myself to do something totally new!
Anyway, I will be having another exhibition in Whitechapel area from tomorrow till 20th. It was an open competition about themes of Yanagi Sosetsu, a Japanese philosopher from 19th century. Personally, I am looking forward to seeing the professional Japanese tea ceremony performed at the opening!

I am thinking about altering something with photoshop before moving onto next sculptures... hmm

I am in this group exhibition called "the Otherness" at Red Gate Gallery in Brixton, one of the nicest, most caring, amazing and professional galleries ever.

It is quite personal but I would really thank the gallery owners, interns, curator, and other artists.
Definitely one of the major highlights of my year!

The Foundry

ロンドンの東にあるFoundryと言うホットなアート系ギャラリーバーにて昨日から展示をしています。
３０日までの展示が終ったら今度は卒展が始まりまるので今回は卒展で展示する作品と合わせキャンバスの上に大きな切り絵を貼っています。

I am exhibiting my new works at a really cool bar called the Foundry in East London.
They are huge paper cutouts on painted canvases and will be there until the 30th : )

９日にセントラルセントマーチンズ校にてサイレントオークションがあります。大学院生一人一作品を出していますが教授や他のアーティストも出してます

On the 9th, there will be a silent auction at Central Saint Martins. The art works are created by MA students, other artists and our professors and is open to public.

紙飛行機をまた作ってみました。前のよりも短時間で、もっと細かく作ったつもりですが出番がありませんでした。

I made a paper airplane again but didnt have a chance to show...

用意をしていたら真夜中になってしまいましたが明日the Alumni Summer Feteと言うアート系のイベントに参加します！
ブースを貰っての展示は久しぶりなのでちょっと緊張しますがその場に居る事によって色々な人と直接お話出来るのはとてもいい機会なので張り切っていってきます。

I feel like I havent uploaded things forever!
Anyway, I will be showing my work at the Alumni Summer Fete tomorrow at Chelsea(Havent been there often...hope I can get there alright)
I will be provided a booth for a day. It will be a long day but is nice to actually being able to talk to people : )

大学院の卒業展は８月の終わりから９月が多いのですがBA(大学）やファンデーション（基礎）コースの方はもう始まっているので色々な大学の卒業展を見て回っています。

凄いパワーです！！
